Jason Hyeongyun (현균) Yi
(Previously) Software Engineer Intern at Fidelity Investments | Chapel Hill, NC, US
I’m Jason Yi, and I work with Full-Stack Development in the Account Opening team at Fidelity Investments using GraphQL and Angular. I’m a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill double majoring in Computer Science (B.S.) and Statistics and Analytics (B.S.)
I’m also a Research Assistant at an NSF-funded Research Training Group (RTG) at the UNC Statistics Department under Prof. Chudi Zhong where I’ll be researching how to optimize Interpretable Machine Learning Algorithms in C++ and Python.
I am currently a TA for COMP 211 (System Fundamentals) in C for Fall 2024, and I was previously a TA for COMP 210 (Data Structures) in Java from Fall 2023 to Spring 2024.
My interests lie in low-latency development, operating systems, machine learning, and algorithms. I am currently reading C++ Concurrency in Action and listening to podcasts like Signals and Threads by Jane Street. I’m always happy to have a conversation about these topics to gain new perspectives.
